my, my...i guessed today was the best day at work so far..minus all those paper work which we rushed to do of coz..well i had group counselling session jus now after lunch..today's session was the last session for this batch of inmates..everything was as per normal, where we discussed n talk about the diff skills which they can apply when they are released later..then towards the end, when i was about to terminate the session, i told them dat i had a really gd and memorable experience to be able to work with them.. hopefully, they benefitted from all those counselling sessions which they had wif me so far..then they all replied by thanking me for the guidance which i had provided them with in such a short period of time.. they think wat was covered in the counselling session will be of a gd help for them in the future la..then the whole group gave me a round of applause as a gesture of appreciation..i was so touched by dat seh..n each of them thanked me again b4 leaving the session..gosh! i was so dumb strucked by their actions..they actually acknowledged me as their counsellor..hehe

me n hani think dat we're really gonna miss this batch of inmates..well after all those rapport building and closer bonds created, we wont be seeing them anymore from mon onwards.. furthermore, everyone of them has those distinct characters..some are so outspoken, some are reserved, we also have the jokers n the polite ones..its all in one la.. which makes the group dynamic very vibrant..so it was a kinda emotional moment for me jus now..yeah2, im a very sentimental gerl ;-) some of them told me again.."ma'am, on monday u coming here again rite? we meet u outside the gate ah..get ur contact number..or if we dun meet u, we call up the office to get ur number.." haha tak give up seh dia org..but then, as their counsellor, its a DAMN good feeling to see ur inmates feeling very motivated to change..n i guess this is wat they said abt working as a social worker.. u really get to feel the satisfaction out of the job! true indeed.
